Welcoming the rain
The sun was hot the whole day.
Moving was only possible in slow motion.
Even thinking straight was a challenge
Bluebird sky. Sitting and waiting.
Eyes riveted to the sky. Alternating hope and despair.
Even the birds remained hidden in the welcoming shade of the trees. Men and beasts reduced to the same vegetative state.
The light was too bright to be enjoyed. Every single living soul was waiting...
Slowly, clouds arrived. One. Two. The first few started to join their forms into a larger one that covered the whole sky. Wind started blowing.
We all welcomed this fresh brisk of air.
Slowly, hope came back.
But it wasn't enough. Not yet.
We always want more...
Nature was giving too slowly for us to come back to life.
Gusts sweeping the fields. Please, Wind, go away and let the Rain come to save us.
Watching the force of the wind becoming weaker. And weaker.
Wind is fading away, clouds are heavier.
We can now feel the rain's coming.
One timid drop. Two... Still waiting. Hoping for more.
Raindrops are bigger. The color of the ground is changing.
It's time. This is it!
Let's open the doors and shutters.
Let's go outside and feel the fresh water dripping on our sweaty skins in this joyful shower.
Enjoying the revival.
Everything's possible now.
Blood starts running again.
Birds start flying again.
Life is back!
Let's raise our arms and celebrate this beautiful moment, when Nature is taking care of our lost souls and bodies.
Be thankful
